3 Steps to Getting Great Traffic from StumbleUpon

I will show you 3 easy steps on how to get traffic from StumbleUpon. I recently used this method for a client and we have been seeing about 300 hits a day from StumbleUpon and this has been going on for about 2 weeks now. There is a little initial work involved but it pays off so without further a due here are the 3 steps to getting great traffic from StumbleUpon!

1. Install the StumbleUpon Firefox addon so you can stumble yours and others sites with ease. This is a great tool that will make your job a whole lot easier and make you much more efficient!

2. Pick the page you want to drive traffic to, usually articles work best for this. After you have a page opened up, click on the thumbs up icon in the toolbar you installed in step 1. It will ask you for a review, keywords and weather or not its adult content. The MOST important part of this step is the keywords you define as this is how it will be found so be sure you add in plenty of relevant keywords. After you add all this in, Submit it.

3. Go to the Digital Point Forum -> Buy, Sell or Trade -> Freebies and start a new Thread that says something like “Stumble me and I will Stumble you!”. Post your link in the thread and nicely ask people to stumble you and in return you will do the same for the links they post in the thread. I also suggest adding these people as friends because if they are avid users they will usually check out your stumbles and help you out. Sharing is caring so be sure to do the same.

Thats it! After you start your thread be sure to check it often and stumble people that have stumbled you. I usually respond and let them know I stumbled them which bumps the post meaning it keeps it near the top because it was recently updated. be careful with bumping your thread because they will punish you if you’re posting things that are not related or are clearly meant to only bump your thread.

Mojobaby - Pretty RAD website!

I was on CSS Remix and found a link to Mojobaby.com and though it was pretty cool.  They offer this cool little widget you can add to your myspace or blog that shows your pictures.  They should be using Open Social to pull in my photos from myspace so i don’t have to re upload images to myspace, facebook and now this site and flickr and yea… The list is getting too long!!  Open up those developer platforms myspace and start letting us pull the data via APIs.  Its the 21st century, we should be streamlining things on the web and not creating more cool tools and widgets that work and are awesome but are more work for us, the users.  I hate uploading images to facebook and myspace because they are duplicates and to add to that list sometimes i add some to flickr and now mojobaby!  The list is getting way too long!!!
